SBM systems help to lower the disposal costs drastically. The waste volume is reduced by dehydration up to 80% and more. Dehydrogenated food-leftovers are more hyigenic and cause no larva infestation. With appropiate storage they do not have to be cooled and are more suitable for recycling (biological gas facility, combined heat and power station).
